North Roosevelt & Garrison Bight

This chapter of TimeFlies follows the bay side of Key West, the working waterfront most visitors drive past on their way into town. Starting at Parrot Key Resort with wide views over the Gulf, the film moves along North Roosevelt Boulevard past Ibis Bay and The Stoned Crab, then on to Trumbo Point, Charter Boat Row, and the sailboats and slips of Garrison Bight Marina. It ends crossing the Palm Avenue Bridge, where the whole bight opens up below.

Recently, we embarked on a journey to explore these hidden gems. Our adventure began at the Parrot Key Resort, where breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico greeted us. As we continued exploring, we passed the Key West Housing Authority and Ibis Bay Resort, offering a glimpse into the local community. The Stoned Crab, a waterfront restaurant, provided a culinary delight with its fresh seafood and picturesque setting. Afterward, we admired the stunning views of the bay from the Courtyard Key West Waterfront Hotel and Hilton Haven. Venturing further, we discovered the City of Key West Fleet Services and the Naval Air Station Trumbo Point Annex, remnants of the island's rich maritime history. Spencer's Boat Yard and the Key West Community Sailing Center showcased the island's nautical spirit, while the exclusive Key West Yacht Club offered a glimpse into the island's luxury side. Our exploration culminated at the Garrison Bight Marina, where we crossed the Palm Avenue Bridge and were rewarded with panoramic views of the marina.
